With 98 days to go, before I head to Africa to volunteer for 8 days, I am so thankful to be surrounded by awesome people. That’s you! Big loves to Amanda Arrowsmith for pushing me over my 50% mark for Retrak Charity. £1005.00 raised. I am blown away!
Not wanting to just do the bare minimum, I am aiming to SMASH my 2k target and raise 4k. The other 2k is for the very fabulous Team Margot
If you haven’t donated yet, I would dearly love your support.
Why should I? A question that most will ask themselves when presented with charity requests. I get that.
In September I’ll be travelling to Kampala in Uganda as part of the #ConnectingHRAfrica Team to help street children have a chance at having a childhood. How will I do this? I’m pleased you asked. You can read all about that here.
I’ll also be training and supporting local staff with my People and Learning and Development knowledge (HR skillz in old money) to aid them in positively impacting these children’s lives. £8 pays for a child’s medical, £25 pays for their food for a week and £105 pays their school fees for one year. Every penny counts.
I’m doing a 10,000ft Skydive on Live Your Life Day in honour of Beds and Bars‘ Franca Knowles.
I’m doing a 10k Obstacle Race The WOLF RUN and hosting many quizzes, auctions & boot sales. Every penny is precious.
I have been supported by Casual Dining Group, Leighton Brady of Toe 2 Toe Knockout, Boxing & MMA Academy, Simon Bottomley of Itk Recruitment, Simon Hyland of Hyland Landscapes, Glen Bradley of Thread Arrows, Yummy Pub Co., Simon Hulstone of The Elephant Restaurant and Brasserie, Torquay and so many friends and family. Thank you to each and every one of you.
I would love further support; you can sponsor my clothes for the Skydive, 10k race or my trip to Africa and feature on all my social pages, website and blog. You can even sponsor my skin. You know how I love my ink!
Or text donate. The options are endless.
Thank you X
